PAWA Private Home Help is a high standard and affordable in-home care and support charge on fee for service basis. It is an option for people needing home care who cannot obtain immediate support from subsidised Government programs or fill the gaps left by Government funded services


There are no waiting lists and no restrictions on service type or frequency. Services can be provided on a short or long-term basis.


The service can:

  • Help frail aged people to live independently at home

  • Provide in-home respite and assistance to carers of frail aged people

  • Fill the gaps left by Government funded services


Services are flexible and individually tailored to the needs of the client, culturally appropriate and delivered through multilingual care workers.


We offer choice of staff to be suit individual needs of clients


Our staff is reliable and punctual. We respect client safety, dignity and privacy at all times.


We have 24 hour on-call support client can contact if they need to change service or need extra help.


Which Home Help services can be provided?

Our staff will work with clients to make sure the care is delivered just the way they want it.


  • Personal care (including continence assistance, supervision of medication and cultural meal preparation)

  • Home care (cleaning, laundry, ironing)

  • Transport to appointments, activities, banking and shopping

  • Social support and companionship

  • Language assistance

  • Respite care to allow family members who usually care for the client to have a break

  • Overnight care

  • Pet care

  • Short term assistance during period of convalescence

  • Assistance after hospital stay, e.g. transport home, collect medications, arranging groceries and essential items, settle person in at home, check up on next day

  • Care planning and care management

  • Referral to relevant other support services

  • Other types of services negotiated between service and client


Who has access to these services?
Private Home Help services are available to people in Metropolitan Sydney 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and all year round.


Our Staff
Our team of qualified and experienced direct care staff and case managers is committed to providing quality service which meets the needs of our clients.


Our bilingual staff has skills and sensitivity to assist frail aged and carers, especially those of Eastern European background.


Our multilingual care workers not only can communicate with the client in their own language the clients will have benefit of enjoying shared culture and customs. We can also cater for people cultural dietary needs.


PAWA continuously recruit bilingual care workers to serve expanding ethnic communities and currently speak the following languages:
Polish, Korean, basic Russian and Croatian


Rights & Responsibilities
We expect that our clients will:

  • Treat our staff with respect and dignity at all times

  • Let us know as soon as possible if about any changes to their care, especially if they will not be home

  • Ensure that home is safe and smoke free when our staff comes to assist them.


Our clients can expect that we will:

  • Be professional and deliver services using skilled staff who have gone through Police checks

  • Respect clients confidentiality

  • Be punctual and efficient in completing required service

  • Change service whenever its needed, with consideration given to health and safety of our staff

  • Tailor services to support clients independence

  • Respond promptly and objectively to complaints if client is not happy with our service, and facilitate involvement of an advocate chosen by client to represent/act on their behalf.


Fees and Conditions
Service fees include all aspects of workers employment including:

  • Emergency backup

  • Workers Compensation Insurance and Public Liability Insurance


Please contact our office to obtain current Fee Schedule.
Minimum booking of service is 1 hour.
Cancellation notice: A cancellation fee of 2 hours will be charged for cancellation with less than 24 hours notice. Bookings for less than 2 hours will be charged at 100% of service time booked
